Winslow Infrastructure is delivering Bulk Earthworks and Stage 1 Civil Infrastructure at Assembly, a 60-hectare redevelopment of the former Ford manufacturing facility in Campbellfield. The project involves large-scale earthworks, contaminated land management, road construction, drainage, sewer, water and utility infrastructure, enabling the transformation of a legacy industrial site into a modern industrial and commercial precinct.
Key Achievements
- Delivering bulk earthworks across a 60-hectare former automotive manufacturing site with complex environmental and geotechnical constraints.
- Supporting redevelopment under an active EPA environmental audit framework, including coordination with environmental consultants and regulatory stakeholders.
- Managing earthworks in areas containing historical industrial contamination, including asbestos-impacted soils, and legacy demolition zones.
- Facilitating implementation of extensive soil reuse and material tracking programs to maximise sustainable reuse of validated site materials.
- Constructing critical enabling infrastructure including roads, stormwater drainage, sewer, water, electrical and communications services to unlock future industrial development.
- Coordinating works around existing groundwater monitoring infrastructure and environmental management systems.
- Managing remediation interfaces including capped areas, marker layer protection systems and controlled excavation zones.
- Undertaking civil works adjacent to retained services, major transport corridors and operational development interfaces while maintaining project delivery requirements.
- Supporting the conversion of one of Victoria's largest former manufacturing facilities into a future-focused industrial and employment precinct.
